Immanuel Rath, an old bachelor, is a professor at the town's university. When he discovers that some of his pupils often go into a speakeasy, The Blue Angel, to visit a dancer, Lola Lola, he comes there to confront them. But he is attracted to Lola. The next night he comes again--and does not sleep at home. This causes trouble at work and his life takes a downward spiral.

show" the world that Jews were just fine, and had their own cities to live in. After it was over, he was sent to Auschwitz and murdered, all because he was Jewish. He was famous for the song" Mack the knife". If you don't understand what I'm talking about, watch the documentary " Prisoner of paradise" on YouTube..

holds sway over his students at the local preparatory school, but his curiosity about postcards found in his student’s notebooks, showing Lola in a very alluring pose, gets the best of him. Lola reduces him to a boyish fool, where the professor looses his dignity and marries the temptress. In the end, he performs as a complete buffoon, suffering such ridicule, that he loses all control of himself and tragically returns from the stage, where he was psychologically reduced to a pathetic clown; to the classroom where he was once the alpha male, only to find it is well past eight ‘o clock and his understudies have moved on with their lives. Life has past him by. This film connects us with lost a love, and a lost life.

I use another external hard drive to back up my files and simply copy everything from one to the other. That way, if there is a malfunction in the original
...
drive, I use the back-up version and then purchase another drive to create a further back-up copy.

and from here I can download hundreds of tremendous films for pocket change. I don't have access to buying or having restored prints or otherwise from here. I feel lucky I discovered this place a while back. I just hope not to drop a huge hard drive and lose hundreds of films. That an event like that is devastating is quite an understatement. If anyone reads my comment, do you any thoughts of how to backup hundreds of films on a hard drive that's like one terabyte in size? Thank you and I'm sorry this isn't a review of von Sternberg's, "The Blue Angel".

Having the Certificates would be the best because anybody who posts PD vids ... must have these to prove the Right to use the film.
